Scott W. Taylor is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster’s San Francisco office.

Mr. Taylor received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where he was an associate editor of the California Law Review. He was also a member of the Boalt Association of Military Veterans, having previously served in the U.S. Navy. While at Berkeley, Mr. Taylor served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Charles R. Breyer in the Northern District of California and to the Honorable Goodwin H. Liu for the Supreme Court of California.

Before law school, Mr. Taylor worked as an appeals representative for the American Legion at the Board of Veterans’ Appeals in Washington, D.C., for which he earned accreditation from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to represent veterans seeking disability benefits. Mr. Taylor’s advocacy on behalf of veterans has involved numerous oral arguments before Veterans Law Judges, and publication of an article in the Hastings Law Journal proposing practical reforms to the VA disability benefits model.
