Sherry brings 25 years of experience to our China corporate practice, including corporate structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity matters. She has advised both multinational and Chinese clients in cross-border transactions involving a broad range of industries, such as telecommunications, energy, retail, life sciences, and logistics. Represented GLP Pte. Ltd. on the establishment of a new US$2 billion fund in China with Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC. The USD-denominated value-add venture will focus on income-generating logistics facilities in China.
Represented Walmart in its further investment in Dada-JD Daojia of approximately US$320 million, subsequent to a US$50 million investment in Dada-JD Daojia in October 2016.
Represented SoftBank in its $5 billion investment in Xiaoju Kuaizhi Inc. (Didi), China’s leading ride-hailing and mobile transportation platform.

Represented Tsinghua Unigroup and Insight Investment in Insight’s $368.8million acquisition of NYSE-listed Xueda Education Group. The transaction marks the first-ever acquisition by an A-share listed company of a U.S.-listed company.
