Sonja Swanbeck is an associate in the firm’s Investigations + White Collar Defense and National Security Groups and is based in the Washington, D.C. office.
Sonja focuses her practice on a variety of economic sanctions, antitrust, and investigations related matters. She also maintains an active pro bono practice, which includes working with asylum applicants and representing a Georgia resident challenging the constitutionality of the state’s election system.
Before joining Morrison & Foerster, Sonja served as an analyst at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and, more recently, she clerked for the ranking member of the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, where she assisted with election security and voting rights legislation.
Sonja received her J.D. with honors from Georgetown University, where she wrote for the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law and served as the education chair of the Appellate Advocacy Team.Show More
