Steinunn Gudmundsdottir is an associate in Morrison & Foerster’s Technology Transactions Group.

Steinunn’s practice focuses on technology and intellectual property-related transactional matters, including negotiating and drafting license agreements, development agreements, SaaS, commercial agreements, M&A, and other investment transactions.  Steinunn advises clients in a variety of sectors, including AR/VR, gaming, social media, software, semiconductors, consumer electronics, and e-commerce.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster LLP, Steinunn was an associate at one of Iceland’s leading law firms, where her practice focused on corporate and commercial transactions, M&A, IP, and privacy, along with a broader experience in dispute resolutions and project finance.

Steinunn earned her B.A. and Magister Juris (J.D. Equivalent) from the University of Iceland and did part of her studies as an Erasmus exchange student at the University of Gothenburg. She received her LL.M. from Stanford Law School, where she was a board member of the Stanford Artificial Intelligence & Law Society and the Blockchain Law & Information Society.

Steinunn is admitted to practice in California and Iceland. She is fluent in English and Icelandic.
