Dr. Stephanie Blij is a member of the Intellectual Property Group and focuses her practice on patent prosecution and counseling, patent due diligence, freedom to operate analysis, and patent litigation support. She has experience in molecular and cell biology, stem cells and development, and genetics.
Dr. Blij earned her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of California Hastings College of the Law where she also participated in the UC Hastings Startup Legal Garage by performing freedom to operate patent analyses for biotechnology startups.
She earned her Ph.D. in molecular, cell and developmental biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she focused her research on mammalian embryo development and the molecular regulation of embryonic stem cell identity and differentiation. Dr. Blij obtained her B.S. in biology from the University of Oregon where she conducted research on the functions and interactions of genes implicated in Usher syndrome.
