Dr. Stephen D. Frausto is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. Dr. Frausto’s practice focuses on patent prosecution and counseling in matters related to biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

Dr. Frausto earned his Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology at Florida State University where he studied host-virus interactions of the hepatitis C virus. Previously, he worked at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory where he studied the structure of lipid remodeling enzymes. He earned his J.D. at New York University and also holds a B.S., magna cum laude, from Florida State University in biological sciences. Dr. Frausto was previously a law clerk with Morrison & Foerster.

Dr. Frausto is registered to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office and is a member of the State Bar of California.
