Tadashi Okamoto is Of Counsel in the Corporate Finance | Capital Markets group of the New York Office of Morrison & Foerster LLP.
Mr. Okamoto's practice focuses on securities and other financing transactions.
Mr. Okamoto advises issuers, sponsors, agents and underwriters in connection with various domestic and international registered and unregistered financing transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, investment grade and high-yield debt offerings, tender and exchange offers, medium-term note programs, and various other capital markets transactions. Additionally, he assists public company clients with ongoing securities law compliance requirements, including stock exchange obligations, SEC filings, and corporate governance matters.
Mr. Okamoto also represents financial institutions in a wide variety of structured transactions involving derivatives. He also focuses on clients in the cryptocurrency and blockchain universe, including development of digital asset trading platforms and token offerings.
Mr. Okamoto earned his LL.M. from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as a contributing editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law. He received his B.A. from The University of Tokyo Faculty of Law. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Okamoto was an associate in the capital markets group of another global law firm in New York.
