Teresa MacLean is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. Ms. MacLean focuses her practice on patent litigation involving a range of technologies including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and information technology.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. MacLean was an attorney in Toronto, where she provided litigation services and life sciences patent services and counseling, including domestic and international patent preparation and prosecution. She also has experience with trademark prosecution and has advised clients on regulatory compliance. Additionally, Ms. MacLean has worked with members of Canada’s Parliament to advocate for reproductive health and rights at the UN Human Rights Council. Prior to attending law school, she was a regulatory affairs specialist managing the importation of chemicals.
Ms. MacLean earned her J.D. at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law; her M.S. in molecular genetics from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine; and her B.S. in biochemistry and biotechnology from the University of Waterloo, Faculty of Science, in Waterloo.
Ms. MacLean is admitted to practice law in California and Ontario, Canada.
