Tim Gallivan is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department. His practice focuses on antitrust matters, including merger investigations, international cartel litigation, government investigations of conduct, and strategic counseling to manage antitrust risks.
Mr. Gallivan represents companies before the DOJ, FTC, and foreign competition authorities in all phases of merger review, including preparation of antitrust filings, drafting white papers, and responding to Second Requests. Mr. Gallivan also has experience taking and defending depositions, presenting oral argument in court, and drafting dispositive motions and appellate briefs.
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Gallivan was a legal intern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York, and a judicial intern for the Honorable Frederick J. Scullin, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. Mr. Gallivan received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Virginia Law Review. He earned his B.A. in Political Science, summa cum laude, from American University.
Mr. Gallivan is admitted to practice in Virginia and Washington, D.C.
