Timothy Ryan is engaged in labor and employment law and has extensive experience in the representation of employers in matters involving union organizing, collective bargaining, labor arbitration, and labor relations. He has guided employers through difficult employment situations involving strikes, boycotts, negative corporate campaigns, and concession bargaining.
Mr. Ryan defends companies in employment-related class action lawsuits involving wage and hour issues and employment discrimination. He also has experience in advising employers and litigating matters regarding sexual harassment, trade secrets and employee raiding, reductions-in-force, wrongful termination, employee privacy rights, and other employment law matters.
Mr. Ryan represents clients across a range of industries, including major retailers, restaurant and food service organizations, and airlines.
Mr. Ryan is a contributing author of the book The Developing Labor Law, published by the American Bar Association. He also serves on the Editorial Board of Bender's Labor and Employment Law Bulletin.
Mr. Ryan is a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and is a member of the Employment and Labor Law Section of the American Bar Association and its Subcommittee on the Development of Law Under the NLRA.
Mr. Ryan is involved in many civic organizations and is on the Board of Advisors of the Good Shepherd Shelter, a shelter for abused women and children.
Timothy Ryan is recognized as a leading employment and labor lawyer by Chambers (2014), Best Lawyers in America (2011 – 2015), and Super Lawyers Magazine (2004 – 2014).
