Virginia M. Choi is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department. Her practice includes a broad range of complex litigation in federal and state court, with a focus on consumer class actions, business torts, and other complex commercial disputes.
Ms. Choi has litigated cases in state and federal courts on behalf of domestic and international clients. She also ran the mediation of an international contract dispute for a consumer electronics company, helped negotiate settlements in shareholder class actions, and assisted with defending individuals and financial services companies in connection with SEC investigations.
Ms. Choi maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing immigrant minors seeking guardianship, special immigrant juvenile status, and citizenship in the United States. She has successfully represented pro bono clients in state court and before the USCIS.
Before joining Morrison & Foerster, Ms. Choi was a judicial extern for the Honorable Christina A. Snyder of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and was a summer associate at Morrison & Foerster.
Ms. Choi received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she served as a member of the California Law Review and Development Chair of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association.
Ms. Choi received her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, summa cum laude, in Spanish and Political Science.
