Wei Zhang is a corporte associate in Morrison & Foerster’s Beijing office. She advises clients on a variety of regulatory and compliance issues involving mergers and acquisitions, direct investments and business operations, and extends her knowledge and experience on different types of data privacy and data security issues across a broad range of industry sectors.
She helps clients develop their business structures under PRC licensing requirements and regulatory restrictions, as well as build up data protection standards and policies in relation to the collection, use, sharing and safeguarding of data. She provides detailed analyses to fundamental laws such as the PRC Cyber Security Law, and advises on industy-specific data protection rules for sectors including TMT and healthcare.
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Ms. Zhang was an associate in the Beijing office of a major U.S. law firm.
