William (Billy) is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department, resident in the Los Angeles office. He has a broad-based commercial litigation practice, including substantial experience in evaluating and resolving complex disputes involving contractual and statutory interpretation, regulatory compliance, claims under various state and federal consumer protection statutes, derivative actions, and copyright, trademark, tradename, and trade secrets actions. He has worked on a variety of matters involving technologies related to broadband networks, software licensing, video games, and data storage.
William has litigated cases in federal and state courts, and before arbitration tribunals throughout the country. He is experienced in drafting and arguing case-dispositive motions, preparing witnesses for testimony, and managing cases from discovery to trial.
William earned his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law and a B.A. with honors in philosophy and political science from the University of Missouri. While in pursuit of his J.D., he externed at the California Court of Appeal for Justice Madeleine Flier and mediated small claims cases as part of the California Association of Mediation Professionals.
