Zhannetta is a scientific analyst in the firm’s Palo Alto office.
Zhannetta focuses her work on patent drafting and coordination of patent prosecution. She also has experience in IP due diligence inquiries, including freedom-to-operate and patentability analyses, with an emphasis on biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
Zhannetta works with a wide range of clients, including startup biotech companies, universities, independent investors, and venture capitalists.
Zhannetta received her Ph.D. in neurobiology from the California Institute of Technology. She was a graduate researcher in the Hong lab and focused on characterizing sensory plasticity in the fruit fly olfactory circuit. She obtained her B.S. in bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh, where she worked in the NTE (Neural Tissue/Electrode Interface and Neural Tissue Engineering) lab with Cui and Kozai. Zhannetta has experience analyzing time-series neural recordings and imaging data using statistical methods. Her interests include neuroscience, biomedical devices, pharmacology, genetics, computational methods, and insect management technologies.
