Representation of Creditors' Committees

While lots of firms can represent a single creditor with a single interest, we are frequently selected to represent multiple creditors with multiple, and sometimes divergent, interests on committees of creditors.

We have represented official committees in many high-profile Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings involving companies with complex capital structures and a diverse creditor constituency that includes institutional note holders, trade creditors, investors, labor unions, and customers. Our experience in representing official committees spans a wide variety of industries and commercial sectors such as retail, manufacturing, telecommunications, airlines, commercial and residential real estate development, business to business advertising, and mortgage servicing companies. While many of our cases involve debtors with revenues in the several billions of dollars, careful and efficient attorney staffing allows us to assist official committees in companies with revenues of $100 million or less.

If needed, our bankruptcy lawyers can call on colleagues in other specialized areas, including capital markets, derivatives, intellectual property, labor, project finance, and real estate. In addition, when the circumstances call for the services of experienced litigators and trial lawyers, we are particularly well suited to undertake the challenge.
