Morrison & Foerster is the global law firm to the tech industry. Our clients—which span emerging innovation drivers to iconic brands—rely on our Technology Transactions Group for its strategic advice on business-critical projects.

We advise on patent and technology licensing and acquisitions, joint ventures and joint development projects, strategic alliances, M&A-related tech transactions, distribution and supply agreements, and global outsourcing. We also help clients navigate adversarial patent licensing negotiations and copyright matters.

We have spent decades cultivating our industry roots in the tech, consumer products, energy, financial services, life sciences, health care, and transportation sectors. Keeping pace with these ever-changing industries, our clients also turn to our market-leading practice for advice associated with emerging and disruptive technologies, where we have developed a set of focused subgroups around the fields of AI and robotics, augmented and virtual reality, Blockchain and distributed ledger, fintech, IoT and connected devices, life sciences, semiconductors, and software, cloud, and SaaS technologies. We also have deep experience in the areas of social media, as well as digital media and digital distribution.

Our clients rely on us to identify legal and commercial risks, mitigate problems and safeguard their interests. At the same time, they count on us to implement key business plans, stay ahead of market trends, and increase the bottom line.
