Speaking Engagement

Lokke Moerel participated in a workshop and panel as part of the Technology Symposium at the Alpbach Forum, exploring the concept of cyber security as a fundamental right.

The quality of today's IT systems is determined by its resilience to existing and future technological and organizational security gaps.  IT security always deals with future attacks on today's IT systems.  Apart from prevention, it is of decisive importance to detect novel ways of attacks.  Additionally, to guarantee civil security, privacy and transparency, legal requirements and the design of future IT systems must also be addressed ("right to be forgotten", "data retention", etc.).
