Since the Equal Pay Act was signed in 1963, the wage gap has been closing, but at a slow rate. In 2016, a number of states, including California, passed pay equity laws to address what has proven to be a stubborn problem. This panel will discuss the important and nuanced topic of pay equity, including an overview of state and federal laws, compliance tips and litigation strategies.
