The PLUS D&O Symposium brings the thought-leaders you want to hear from together to discuss leading issues impacting the D&O insurance marketplace today and for years to come.
MoFo’s Jordan Eth, co-chair of the firms Securities Litigation, Enforcement and White-Collar Defense practice group, moderated the closing keynote address by Preet Bharara, “Accountability in the Age of Disruption – Keeping Corruption in Check.” As U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 2009 to 2017, Preet Bharara earned the reputation of "crusader" prosecutor. Through a moderated Q&A, Bharara recounted his role in several of the most high-profile cases of the last decade, including Bernie Madoff, Wall Street firms, Speaker of the New York State Assembly Sheldon Silver, and Times Square Bomber, Faizal Shahzad. He also spoke to observations from his role as prosecutor and whether or not changes are on the horizon, addressing the question, “What does executive accountability mean today and how do we effect change in this disruptive environment while driving positive change here at home and around the world?"
