The EU Securities Financing Transactions Regulation: Where Things Are Now and Planning For the Future

16 Jan 2019

In the wake of the global financial crisis, the Financial Stability Board, with the support of the G20 nations, launched its “Shadow Banking” initiative, to monitor non-banks that perform bank-like activities. Following the initiative, the Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR) was introduced in the EU in 2016, but is not yet fully operational.

Join Morrison & Foerster and IFLR for this webinar which will address the challenges and opportunities that have arisen from this initiative. This webinar will be of interest to banks and other financial institutions, fund managers and other entities undertaking repurchase, reverse repurchase and securities lending transactions, as well as collateralised swaps and other derivatives

The webinar will be hosted by Jeremy Jennings-Mares, Peter Green, and Yulia Makarova.
