The use of information, communication tools, technology, and other means to create “smart cities” in an effort to improve quality of life, operational efficiency, safety and security, and overall well-being of smart city populations is on the rise. Tools utilized in the development of smart cities have, or have the potential to, touch a vast array of the infrastructure components of a city including healthcare, administration, education, transportation, public safety and security, buildings, utilities, and beyond.
Partner in Morrison & Foerster’s Privacy & Data Security Group Julie O’Neill will speak on a dynamic panel focused on the issues faced by any urban community when designing and implementing smart city technology.
