Morrison & Foerster is an event sponsor of the 2019 AWEA WINDPOWER Conference & Exhibition taking place May 20-23 in Houston, TX.

Partner Elizabeth Sluder will lead this standalone session on the topic of “Build-Transfer: Risk vs. Reward Analysis.” With inventories of “safe harbor” equipment in storage and approaching tax credit cliffs ahead, 2018 saw a resurgence of the build-transfer strategy among many wind developers seeking to utilize the stored equipment and simultaneously solidify their project pipelines in the coming years. Elizabeth will examine the legal issues raised by this type of development strategy, and explore how it has changed (and could further change) the renewable energy industry.

This session is CLE-accredited by the State Bar of Texas through AWEA (American Wind Energy Association).
