In association with J.P. Morgan, LGBT Finance and Lawyers for LGBT & Allies Network (LLAN), we would like to invite you to join us for a presentation by John E. Smith, co-head of Morrison & Foerster’s National Security, Sanctions and Export Controls practice and former Director of the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”).

In his position at OFAC, John oversaw the creation, implementation, and enforcement of all U.S. government sanctions, including those for Russia, Iran and North Korea. John will share his experience as an openly LGBTQ+ professional in the financial services space and top law enforcement official, the key factors that brought him success in his career, as well as his views on important economic sanctions issues faced by lawyers and financial industry professionals.

A Q&A session and networking reception will follow.
