Join Morrison & Foerster’s partners and co-chairs of the Global Antitrust Law Practice Group, Alex Okuliar and Jeff Jaeckel, at Informa Connect’s Antitrust West Coast conference, a two-day event bringing together current and former government officials, antitrust and competition compliance professionals, and top legal minds to discuss and educate on practical insights and address global challenges on a unique West Coast platform. Our attorneys will be speaking on various panels and covering some of the most pressing questions surrounding antitrust law.

Thursday, May 12, 9:10 a.m. – 9:50 a.m. PST

Alex joins Sarah Oxenham Allen of the DOJ Antitrust Division, Chuck Webb of FedEx, and Micah Rubbo of Twitter to discuss a new era of federal enforcement at the conference’s The Future of Antitrust session stream. Panelists will address the many implications of the Biden Administration’s new approach to antitrust enforcement and make predictions about where the agencies are headed as they introduce new staff and adopt less traditional theories of harm and investigative techniques.

Thursday, May 12, 10:30 a.m. – 11:10 a.m. PST

Jeff moderates “The Future of Mergers” during the conference’s The Future of Antitrust session stream, where panelists will discuss whether a new era for M&A has officially begun and assess the potential for retroactive break-ups and remedies. In addition, panelists will address questions surrounding M&A, including:

  • Is a review of standards and theories of harm on the cards?
  • Looking at key merger developments in the EU, do they shed light on the future of M&A in the U.S.?
