Partner Robert B. Hubbell will address consecutive panels at this conference on “Accountants’ Liability 2014: Confronting Enforcement and Litigation Risks” sponsored by the American Law Institute Continuing Legal Education (ALI CLE) group.

10:45 a.m.: Partner Robert B. Hubbell will speak on "Independence Issues" at the annual conference of the ALI CLE, exploring the issues that arise in the independence arena, the regulators' response, recommended preventive strategies, and new AICPA standards, as well as the PCAOB and SEC standards applicable to public companies.

2:30 p.m.: Partner Robert B. Hubbell will take part in the Defense Panel on "Litigating an Accountants' Liability Case" offering practical advice on litigation, including motion practice; discovery strategies; electronic discovery issues; trial themes; motions in limine; witness selection and preparation; presenting accounting issues to a jury; the use of technology; and opening and closing statements.
