Careful consideration of privilege and work product protections for documents are essential to good tax practice. Properly supported, these protections will prevent disclosure of internal and sensitive information to the IRS or in court should there be litigation over any tax adjustments. Without such support or without proper controls to prevent waiver of these protections, documents may have to be divulged to the IRS.

In this webinar, Partner Edward Froelich will deliver practical guidance on attorney-client and section 7525 privileges and on work product protection. We will also discuss problems of waiver and some best corporate practices to maintain these protections in the face of IRS inquiries or discovery in litigation.

Clear Law Institute will provide CLE credit.
