Increasingly Human Resource (HR) departments are turning to big data analytics to improve workforce planning, development and productivity. In the HR sphere, big data analytics are being used in a variety of ways including to identify potential recruits; to measure employee productivity; to measure the impact of HR programs on performance; and to identify potential leaders.
This new source of information can be hugely insightful for employers. However, along with the potential benefits, employers must consider the risks and challenges raised by using data analytics in HR processes and decisions, raises including the impact on privacy and data security, the risk of discriminatory outcomes and the potential damage to the company’s reputation and brand if things go wrong.
During this seminar our speakers will examine the legal and HR issues that arise in relation to the use of big data analytics in human resource matters, drawing comparisons between the approaches taken in different regions around the world.
