Hour-long briefing divided into two parts. The first part provided an overview of the latest activity in existing and emerging carbon markets, including how the market approach may scale as a result of recent federal regulatory actions on greenhouse gases.  The second part provided an overview of financing  structures (both debt and equity) that are common in today’s renewable energy industry, including a discussion of the rapidly changing landscape of those structures.

Jeff Kayes served as a speaker on the current trends and structures in renewable energy financing and acquisition transactions.

William Sloan served as a speaker on the latest developments in greenhouse gas regulation, and how that regulation is influencing carbon markets, as well as alternative avenues for pricing carbon, including legislative tax proposals.
