Partner Jessie K. Liu spoke at the Practising Law Institute’s “Current Developments in Federal Civil Practice 2013” seminar on January 30 in New York. Ms. Liu offered insights on, among other topics, the Federal Courts Jurisdiction and Venue Clarification Act of 2011; the effect of McIntyre and Goodyear on personal jurisdiction law; updating the application of Twombly and Iqbal four years after those decisions; and the effect of the 2010 amendments to Rule 56.
