People analytics! Talent analytics! Insider threat! Companies have access to an immense amount of information on their employees, and many are now realizing the value of that information and are trying to harness it for business insights to drive efficiencies, retain and grow talent and reduce risk. But to employees, it quickly can feel like big brother is watching! During this interactive session we will explore the U.S. and international privacy and employment laws companies should be aware of, discuss the unique challenges of employee data versus customer data analytics (including the difficulty of anonymization), the challenges of consent in the employment context and practical information security considerations, and we’ll walk through the steps to implement an acceptable use governance model to maintain employee privacy in the era of big data analytics.
