This seminar will address best practices for enterprise risk management and pre-examination preparation based on actual experiences in California and national markets. Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is central to addressing safety and soundness and key Dodd-Frank requirements. Experience shows that banks can create a competitive advantage and maximize their value by properly implementing and maining ERM. This principle applies to banks of all sizes but ERM must be tailored to fit each institution’s unique risk profile, size and complexity. Compliance issues are now front and center under the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (“CFPB”) and bankers continue to question the timeframes for implementing Dodd-Frank, including board level risk committees, compensation, capital plans, compliance, etc.
