The Dodd-Frank Act includes sweeping provisions that will expand the government’s oversight of hedge funds and private funds.  Record-keeping and reporting requirements will be imposed on funds in order to permit the SEC and other regulators to make systemic risk assessments.  The legislation could significantly alter the landscape for private funds and investments made by private funds.

Topics will include:

  • Key provisions of the legislation
  • Available exemptions for advisers to venture capital funds, advisers to single family offices, and advisers to small business investment companies
  • Important considerations for market participants

PLI will provide CLE credit.
