James McGuire and Nancy Thomas are speakers for the July 23rd, 2013 webinar hosted by Lorman Education Services.

About the program:

The Dodd-Frank Act created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and gave it broad authority to regulate unfair, deceptive and abusive acts and practices (UDAAP). Other banking regulators are paying attention and taking a page from the CFPB's playbook. Dodd-Frank added a new abusive prong to the FTC's traditional Section 5 UDAP analysis, and the CFPB and other regulators have made clear that they intend to view all bank practices through a new consumer-oriented lens. What is UDAAP? How will banking regulators find it? What types of practices have regulators targeted so far? This live audio conference will answer those questions and provide concrete advice on how to adapt to the new paradigm.
