Opinion: Here’s How The Trump Administration Needs to Boost Cybersecurity

Carlin outlines his five suggestions for the most pressing issues facing the U.S. government in light of the current cybersecurity landscape—employing a “whole-government” approach, publicizing hacks widely, debunking the myth that hacks don’t cost the perpetrator because attribution is impossible, increasing the penalties for cybercrimes, and continuing to strengthen relationships with the private sector and encourage sharing both ways.
