John Carlin, Miriam Wugmeister, Alex Iftimie, and Reema Shocair Ali authored an article for Directors & Boards where they offer steps for organizations to protect their data after the COVID-19 pandemic has emboldened cybercriminals and nation-state actors to adapt and strengthen their targeted attacks.
“The short and long-term effects of this current upheaval neither are close to being over, nor fully understood,” the authors wrote. “While data security and risk management may seem like an overwhelming and daunting responsibility, a careful review and assessment of your organization’s level of preparedness for cybersecurity risks and implementation of the steps above will help mitigate risks to your organization and make you less vulnerable to the whims and exploits of cyber criminals and hackers.”
