Morrison & Foerster Represents Cigital in its Acquisition by Synopsys

Morrison & Foerster is representing Cigital in its acquisition by Mountain View-based Synopsys Inc. (NASDAQ:SNPS), announced November 7. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction, which will be funded with a combination of cash and debt, is expected to close by December 2016. Cigital, based in Dulles, VA, is a large, global application security firm specializing in professional and managed services for identifying, remediating and preventing vulnerabilities in software applications.  Synopsys is the world’s 15th largest software company.

The firm represents some of the leading cybersecurity companies in the Mid-Atlantic, such as cloud provider Fugue, email security firm Virtru cyber threat intelligence platform company ThreatQuotient and software life cycle management company Sonatype.
