Entrepreneurs Say Ho-Hum to IPOs

Venture Capital Journal

December 2016

Tim Harris, managing partner of Morrison & Foerster’s Palo Alto office and a partner in the Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Group, was quoted regarding the IPO market in the article, “Entrepreneurs Say Ho-Hum to IPOs,” published by Venture Capital Journal in December 2016.

Mr. Harris sees a lack of interest in the entrepreneurs he runs across, especially the young ones. Many view IPOs as something of the past.

“I don’t have too many companies that want to spend some time doing IPO preparedness,” Mr. Harris said. They feel they can raise private money until they become profitable. “That tells me that Series E money is more attainable than IPO money.”
