Court Considers Whether Trump Can Fire Consumer Regulator

A federal appeals court is deciding whether the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is constitutional, but partner Joseph R. Palmore believes an outcome isn’t necessarily guaranteed. “If judges think they can avoid making a significant constitutional ruling, they are sometimes inclined to try to avoid it,” he said in The Wall Street Journal article “Court Considers Whether Trump Can Fire Consumer Regulator.”
