Morrison & Foerster Wins Three Am Law Global Legal Awards

21 Jul 2017

Morrison & Foerster won three awards of part of The American Lawyer’s 2017 Global Legal Awards.

In the M&A category, MoFo was recognized for its role representing SoftBank in its $31.4 billion acquisition of ARM Holdings, a UK-based multinational semiconductor and software design company, which was named Global M&A Deal of the Year: UK.

In addition, we were recognized for our role advising SoftBank in the sale of its controlling stake in Finnish gaming company Supercell Oy to Chinese Internet company Tencent Holdings, which won the Global M&A Deal of the Year: Japan award.

MoFo also was one of several firms and organizations recognized for their work on the European refugee crisis, which was named Global Pro Bono Advocacy Project of the Year.

Now in its fifth year, the Global Legal Awards recognizes matters that “demonstrated the industry’s ability to navigate complex international legal issues” across four categories: citizenship, disputes, finance, and mergers and acquisitions.

Four grand prize winners will be announced in September at an awards ceremony in New York City.
