The Daily Journal named San Francisco partner Arturo González to its annual Top 100 list.
Arturo, who is chair of Morrison & Foerster’s Commercial Litigation and Trial Practice Group, most recently helped a cloud computing company beat a $100 million intellectual property lawsuit in Phoenix Technologies v. VMWare Inc.
His trial career also includes winning a $12.5 million verdict for the family of a farmworker who was wrongfully killed by a SWAT team.
Arturo was the first Latino associate to join Morrison & Foerster 33 years ago. During his time at the firm, Arturo has made diversity and mentorship top personal priorities. He tries to “pay it forward” through mentoring younger attorneys and ensuring at least one woman is on every trial team.
The Top 100 list recognizes leading lawyers in California whose work is “changing an industry or the law or the society as a whole.”
A full profile of Arturo is featured in a special Top 100 issue that was published on September 20.
