Trump faces court battle over scrapping of coal curbs

According to senior advisor Ali A. Zaidi in the Financial Times article “Trump faces court battle over scrapping of coal curbs,” President Trump’s plan to abolish the Clean Power Plan isn’t one that can be completed without going through the rigorous legal process. 

“The courts have provided strong direction that would seem to compel the EPA to regulate carbon pollution from power plants,” he said. “What we know from the courts is that when a new administration comes in and there is a rule on the books, the new administration can’t just flip the switch on the rule.”
