According to Morrison & Foerster partner John P. Carlin in The Wall Street Journal article “What Keeps CIOs Up at Night?” government agencies are beginning to classify less information in order to work more cohesively with private companies to better prevent against cyberattacks.

“The default has traditionally been to classify everything, but the government is starting to recognize that sharing that information is one key for companies to defend themselves,” he said.
