Morrison & Foerster LLP advised Trusted Doctors (Xingren) in its strategic merger agreement with Tencent Doctorwork. The newly formed venture, which is named Tencent Trusted Doctors, will offer an ecosystem of both online and offline services devoted to leveraging Internet technology to provide high-quality and accessible healthcare service to customers all over the country.

Trusted Doctors (Xingren), launched in 2014, is a professional platform for over 430,000 registered doctors in China and plans to expand its network to 31 clinics and 10 surgery centers by the end of 2018.

Tencent Doctorwork was established as a joint venture by Tencent, GAW Capital, Medlinker, and Sequoia Capital China in 2016. It provides comprehensive online and offline healthcare service targeted at urbanities.

The MoFo team was led by Hong Kong Corporate partner Thomas Chou and Shanghai Corporate associate Zhenyu Wang, with key support provided by Shanghai Corporate associate Melissa Liu.
