SEC Files First Action Against Unregistered Cryptocurrency Exchange

The cease and desist order filed against EtherDelta by the SEC for being an unregistered online trading platform was not unexpected according to Morrison & Foerster Susan I. Gault-Brown, and it’s likely that similar actions will be taken against other exchanges in the future.
