Former head of the DOJ Criminal Division Leslie Caldwell has signed on to represent United Microelectronics Corp., the Taiwanese semiconductor maker charged with conspiring to steal trade secrets from a U.S. rival. Co-defendant Fujian Jinhua Integrated Circuit Co. Ltd. has brought on Morrison & Foerster’s Christine Wong, another DOJ veteran, in this matter.
