Rohnert Park to Pay $1.2 Million in Probation Search Case

Amezcua discusses a win on behalf of a Rohnert Park family in The Press Democrat article entitled “Rohnert Park to pay $1.2 million in probation search case.”  The city of Rohnert Park agreed to pay $1.2 million to cover legal fees and money awarded by the jury, which it concluded three officers violated the family’s rights during a 2014 warrantless home search

“We’ve compromised our attorney’s fees in order to get finality for our client and final resolution of the matter,” Amezcua said. “The overall case still remains in our view a vindication of privacy rights for California residents and for citizens of Rohnert Park.”
