Morrison & Foerster received a perfect score on Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) 2019 Corporate Equality Index report, marking the 16th year in row we’ve been named among the best places to work for LGBTQ+ equality.
The annual report surveys major businesses in the United States and their corporate policies relating to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer employees. The survey evaluates standards for workplace equality including non-discrimination policies, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive healthcare benefits, and public engagement with the LGBTQ+ community.
This year the survey was expanded to include the emerging needs of LGBTQ+ employees. In order to qualify, employers must provide healthcare coverage for different- and same-sex partners, in addition to removing transgender exclusions from all benefit plans.
Founded in 1980, HRC is America’s largest civil rights organization dedicated to advocating for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer equality.
