Honestbee Commences Singapore High Court Supervised Restructuring Process

Deal Street Asia

02 Aug 2019

In the Deal Street Asia article “Honestbee commences Singapore High Court supervised restructuring process,”  Morrison & Foerster’s Sonya Van de Graaff, Business Restructuring & Insolvency partner, was quoted on the possible chain of events preceding honestbee’s court supervised restructuring process.

In an attempt to protect the company, honestbee applied to the city-state’s High Court for a court-supervised restructuring process. This step is part of a precaution to protect the value and stability of the company as it restructures its business. The restructuring process, as Sonya describes, is “rigorous and court supervised”. However, “when the company emerges from the process, it will likely benefit from a deleveraging so that the business can continue in operation with a fresh start,” she added.
