Due to the Genera Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the practice of using personal data in real time ad auction is facing a crisis. Over the past year, European regulators have loosely enforced their cookie-related actions. However, Alex told the publication to “expect that to change”, adding that “RTB often make use of cookies, or similar regulated technologies, and EU regulators are tightening the screws on the use of cookies.”
