In an interview with Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, Morrison & Foerster partner Ori Solomon of the Boston office told the publication that he chose to join MoFo because the firm offered a strong platform for his work with life sciences and technology companies, as well as venture capital funds and emerging companies. “It was a natural fit for me to come here,” Ori said.
He also discussed the growth of the Boston office, which opened earlier this year, and how the firm is playing a role in a city known for being a tech hotspot. “The Boston office is really a natural extension of all the firm’s practice groups across the other offices and has effortlessly and seamlessly integrated with the rest of the firm. Boston has always been a hotbed for innovation and a home to some of the brightest minds. The state and local governments have also done a lot of very smart things from a policy perspective over the last 10 to 15 years that have incentivized companies to start here, move here or expand in the area, which has created a tremendous amount of demand for legal services that MoFo can provide.”
Ori told the publication that he predicts that “things are going to continue to thrive” in Boston, “particularly in the two areas where MoFo is strongest: life sciences and technology.” He discussed the growth in both industries, and said that the firm “expects to be very busy here.”
